
Board
certified in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery, Dr. Olds has also
helped advance the cochlear implant procedure in the Pacific Northwest.
Specializing in otology, with an emphasis on pediatrics, Dr. Olds takes
great pride in the help he has provided to so many children with
hearing impairments.
Dr. Olds graduated
from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Molecular Biology and obtained his medical degree from the University
of Washington School of Medicine. Two internships followed - the first
in internal medicine at the Shands Hospital University of Florida in
Gainesville, and the second in general surgery at State University of
New York at Syracuse. He continued at Syracuse for his residency in
otolaryngology. A Fellowship in otology relocated him to Sarasota,
where he attended The Ear Research Foundation at Florida Ear and Sinus
Center. Dr. Olds then returned to Spokane and joined Spokane ENT
and Surgery Center in 1998.
Dr. Olds' professional associations include American Academy of
Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery, American Board of
Otolaryngology, Washington State Medical Association, and American
Neurotology Society. Dr. Olds has served on the executive board of the
Spokane County Medical Society, the surgery committee at Sacred Heart
Medical Center, and on the adjunct faculty in the Department of
Pharmacology at Washington State University. He has also volunteered as
Secretary of the Inland Northwest Foundation for Hearing, as a board
member for The H.O.P.E. School, on the Board of Trustees for Spokane
County Medical Society and in the Spokane Rotary.
